nopCommerce
B2B portal with back-office inventory sync
Shield Healthcare's Partnership Program is a B2B portal giving healthcare professionals discounted pricing on more than 3,000 name-brand medical supplies. I worked on the nopCommerce store behind it, including the integration that keeps its catalog in step with their back-office inventory system.

What went into it
-
B2B store implementation
Store setup and product work for the partner catalog on nopCommerce.
-
Scheduled inventory and pricing sync
Orders also came in by phone, and stock lived in a back-office system, so the site's inventory and pricing had to track a source that changed outside the website. The sync ran on nopCommerce's scheduled task system so the catalog stayed current instead of drifting.
-
Accepting and mapping the feed
An endpoint took JSON from the back-office system. Incoming records were matched to nopCommerce products by SKU and product ID, then used to update fields including price, inventory and name. Most of the work was in the mapping, since the two systems described the same products differently.
-
Search platform upgrade
Moved the site off its previous search onto Algolia through a custom nopCommerce plugin, including the catalog indexing and faceting behind it, plus the analytics hooks that tie add-to-cart and purchase events back to search queries.
